Geez this is the very first time baby Mia has been sleeping for the last 9 hours...

Still sleeping .....

Good bubba! I'm the one awake due to the milk flood ..

As we had been doing every 2-3 hours then 4 hours for the last week or so eheh! 

4 months

Mia, you are 4 months old now! Times just travel so fast! 

I'm already feeling sad to go back to work even though it's still few months away..

Another milestone

Co sleeping

Before I was a mum, of course I would be one of those.. 

"Co sleep? No !!! too dangerous..no.."

And of course, after 3 months of up n down... I admit it's tiring. Most times I had to rock her or nurse her until she was in deep sleep then put her down to her cot. Did I even mention.... Sometime she wake up when I put her down? At time  e have to repeat that whole rocking nursing episodes? 

Plus, At nights when Mia on growth spurt, I surrendered! Let's just make some changes. Let's try co sleep! So last week, she was on her spurt. We were up every 2 hours or 1.5hrs for 5 nights! There were times I was very sleepy and I just put her next to me. To my surprise she actually settled herself and slept! 

Therefore I tried a few times, I started to love this co sleeping business. However it won't work when Jamie is home. Bed isn't big enough for us two and nana and Mia!  I get nervous when Mia is right next to me! 

Thus I decided to move Mia's cot right next to me. 

Magic! She sleeps well and fell asleep on her own too, works well during nap too! Let's keep this up! 

So now, What if she rely on me sleeping next to her? Seriously I don't care. She is in her cot I'm in my bed. Having her in my room, it's blessing. 

Teething

Rosie cheeks, fussy, dribbles, sleepless, I'm just Waiting her first tooth to cut through! I can tell her teeth are ready in her gum! 

Oh dear my baby is growing up quick!

Week 17

Sleep regression.. Sleep regression..growth spurt ..growth spurt.. 

Whatever it is... This is PAINFUL! 

So it's been 3 nights now Mia didn't really sleep well. 

First, she was down at 8ish pm and up at 1am ish for a feed then she reckon it's chatting time, dear baby. So she was up for 1.5hr and finally back to sleep at 2.30am.. And of course up every 2 hours after... 

Second night, she was up every 2 hrs and this time chatting time started at 4am. I was rather exhausted and passed out. Didn't know if she actually slept or been up until 6am.. Gave a fed and she back to sleep.

Last night.. Well since she had her swim lesson, everyone told me she would sleep better. Of course, my hope vanished when She woke up after short naps and down at 7pm up at 8pm.. Then at 11pm.. 2 hrs all after that..

Mia Mia Mia.........

Hope it's just a growth spurt. Perhaps it is as she did sleep a lot during the days before all these episodes started.

Obviously she stored up some energy..

And what's her new development? Well she discovered her voice! 

High pitch talk (scream) and wuwuwu (singing)

Very cute and of course very noisy! Getting so busy at play gym too :) 

First swimming lesson

Big girl in the pool for the first time! Times just pass so quickly that Mia is now ready ! 

So yesterday we had our first lesson. 

Bought her a "bikini", that's how daddy thinks bikini should be .."ahem"

So cute :)

Lesson went for 30 mins, however I think by 20 mins most babies had enough, grizzly crying fussy babies in the pool hha! Of course Mia joined the club and started her whinge at last 5 minutes and a massive cry while I changed her, typical!!

So the class was fun! Couple of mums n bubs from my mummy's group joined too. Lots of singing, just like a rhyme session in the pool. Splashing, kicking and some floating. So fun though wasn't feeling confide myself to let Mia float haha! My hand was supporting her back secretly ..oh dear mama! 

Can't wait until Jamies back. He will be so excited to watch Mummy's little girl swims :) 

New abilities

For the past 2 days or so, Mia learned that she "talk/scream" in higher pitched. It is really cute indeed! 

So now she becomes even more responsive when we sing her "the wheels on the bus".. She will coo round and round ..this is so cuteness overload! 

..so Calvin bought her this outfit ..and I told him sorry, Mia doesn't really smile..

He said she is a cry baby!

Well I told him, international models don't smile, so Mia does it right :) Ahhaha! 

And yes , there's another new ability! She put her hands together now. Look so cute! 

However she isn't sociable! Pretty much a mummy's girl! Sour face overload when someone else is taking her.. 

Luckily she does love her daddy most of the times but doesn't like him putting her to sleep, how fussy is that?!?

Play time with dad is cool :)

Well she also discovered her foot! they are not in her mouth yet though ahahh! 

What's that for mummy?

Now she can grasp and pull, she is enjoying her gym activity mat! So much that she gets upset if we remove her from it hehe! 

My god...where's my newborn? It is so true they only stay little for such a short time! 

1st roll over

So Mia was stucked this position for a while now...

Today she just did her first back to tummy roll over!!  

Milestone baby!

Mummy's group

Before I was a mum, I didn't quite appreciate "mummy's group!"  

I thought I already have some friends with kids, that will do but hey... No! 

So I was attending the weekly meeting that was held by child health nurse! In fact I actually really enjoyed all the meetings. 

It's like another learning curves that I'm doing with some other new mummies! We have about 13 new mums in the area and thanks godness  we are actually still meeting up weekly ourselves! 

So we decided to take a group photo.... Probably spent more times to get ready and packing than the actual action shot...

Reason is... 

They cried like a group of orchestra ...and of course Mia ...Mia .....being the treble!! Or the lead...."embarrassing!"

So there were quite a few boys as compared to girls ..some babies born 3 weeks earlier than Mia and some were 3 weeks later .. Guess Mia is incy wincy as compared to some babies Ahha! 

It's all cool, baby, you are good looking and cute in my eyes :) 

My bday!

Oh dear it's been a while since my last entry! 

Though don't feel like I have done a lot, days just went passed so quickly! I'm already starting to think,

" OMG I'm back to work in...4 months! " ....nooooooo!!!!!!!! " 

So quick lil update, nothing too happening but I had my birthday and happened to be its Mia 's 100 days old!

So we dressed up in white , matching! 

It's quite hard to take a pic of her dress so we were trying different poses and Calvin finally said

" sis stop it! Mia just looks like shin-chan"

Hehehehe!!! Fair enough...

Fair enough! Hahah!!!

So how did we spend the day? 

It was a very "lovely" car ride with Mia! We went breakky with Annabelle at Vic Park 

And thanks godness, she was Zz on the way home! 

It's my worst fear when she started not to tolerate with car ride, man.... How could we go out Mia?!??! 

So another thing on the list that I have to tackle...

Anyway so Jamie was away from work, he wrote me a very cute card with lil drawing love you to the moon (himself) and back ..and he got me an art therapy!

 Have to blog about this art therapy on another entry! 

Anyway I had a lovely birthday and of course we took a pic together with our darling nana :) 

Guess Mia has some issues with Nana..
